Our financial regulatory compliance practice includes advising lenders on their obligations under state and federal lending law, including disclosure and recording-keeping obligations for consumer loans, underwriting regulations, RESPA, HOEPA, TILA and Oregon Mortgage Lending Law. We also advise lenders of federally and state-guaranteed loans on Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD regulations with respect to servicing of loans.
We represent some of the regions’ most recognized lenders in responding to CFPB and Federal Reserve complaints and defense of lender liability actions. Our CFPB and Federal Reserve complaint practice includes review of lender underwriting and loan files, internal compliance investigations, and preparing response letters to complaints. Our lender liability defense practice includes defense of lenders in state and regulatory proceedings and civil suits.
