Nancy K. Cary

As Chair of our Creditors’ Rights Practice Group, Nancy helps our clients navigate the dense foliage of collections and the rough currents of foreclosures. She is very active in the construction and banking industries and routinely speaks on credit-construction-bank related issues.

A native Oregonian, Nancy joined Hershner Hunter in 1990 after deciding she wanted to raise her sons in the Willamette Valley surrounded by forests and rivers. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Construction Financial Management Association and as a member of the National Association of Women in Construction and the Oregon State Bar Debtor-Creditor Section.

Raised on the Siletz Indian Reservation, located on the Central Oregon Coast, Nancy is very involved in efforts to preserve tribal language, customs, and traditions and proudly shared what she learned from the tribal elders with her two sons, Ty and Brinton. Nancy loves all things sports and also enjoys reading true crime books, camping with her family, and spending time with her two granddaughters.
