Hershner Hunter is proud to announce that longtime Eugene attorneys Gerry Gaydos and Don Churnside have joined the firm as Of Counsel. Since 1985, Gerry and Don have provided client-centered legal services to the business community in the Pacific Northwest, focusing their practice on corporate law, estate and business planning, creditors’ rights, and real estate. As a full-service business law firm, Hershner Hunter welcomes their significant experience and extensive legal knowledge to increase the depth of our robust practice. This new venture is based on a shared commitment to providing responsive and results-oriented advice to our clients, and continuing a rich tradition of community service.

Since he began practicing in Eugene in 1977, Gerry has become one of the most distinguished members of our legal community, known both for his long-lasting relationships with clients and for his unparalleled civic contributions. Gerry regularly advises his clients on a range of matters, including business entity formation, drafting and negotiating business agreements, estate planning, and commercial and residential real estate matters. A past president of the Oregon State Bar, Gerry currently serves as a board member of ShelterCare, and has served numerous other nonprofits and community organizations throughout his career.  In 2011, he received the prestigious Eugene First Citizen Award.

Don Churnside began his career in Eugene after graduating from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1979, and has since developed a reputation as a skilled advocate who works tirelessly to obtain the best results for his clients. Don assists clients with the collection process and related proceedings, business entity formation, drafting and negotiating business agreements, and commercial and residential real estate matters. An active member of the community, Don has served on numerous boards of local nonprofits and community organizations, including the Eugene Public Library Foundation, Junior Achievement of Lane County, Oregon Club, the Eugene Country Club (President) and Eugene Swim and Tennis Club (President).
