Pat’s experience of more than 30 years has focused on representing all types of creditors in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts, as well as negotiating workouts outside of litigation.
Pat has devoted substantial time to professional organizations throughout his career, including serving for many years as a member and chair of both the executive and legislative committees of the Oregon State Bar Debtor-Creditor Section. Pat has drafted legislation on several topics and has testified before the legislature on many bills. Pat is co-editor of the OSB Continuing Education treatise “Creditors’ Rights and Remedies,” has contributed to the OSB “Contracts” treatise, and is the author of the current checklist for non-judicial foreclosures for the OSB Professional Liability Fund.
Pat served on the initial Oregon Department of Justice steering committee for the Oregon Foreclosure Avoidance Program during Oregon’s foreclosure crisis.
