Gerry joined Hershner Hunter in 2020 and has been in private practice in Eugene since 1979. In that time, he has cultivated a reputation for excellent client service and unparalleled civic contributions.
Gerry began his career as an assistant staff judge advocate in the United States Air Force before moving his family to Eugene and serving as an assistant district attorney. He is honored by the trust his clients place in him and he strives to develop long term relationships with them. The hallmark of Gerry’s career has been his civic involvement and his love for our community and the legal profession.
Gerry was raised in Ohio and has been married to his wife, Jill, for more than 48 years. He has two grown sons, Josh, who is married to Stephanie, and Geoff, who is married to Casey. Gerry has five grandchildren, one grandson, Coop, and four granddaughters, Stella, Ruby, Makenzie, and Kayla. When he’s not a lawyer, Gerry enjoys gardening, reading, fishing (or thinking about it,) hiking and spending time with his family.
