Litigation Practice Group
Members of our Litigation Practice Group provide both (1) predispute planning and avoidance advice and (2) assistance to clients in resolving disputes. Our attorneys regularly practice in all state and federal trial and appellate courts in Oregon, Washington, and Alaska, and occasionally in other states. In addition to traditional litigation, we make substantial use of mediation, arbitration, and other alternative dispute resolution forums. Our litigation practice is limited to the prosecution and defense of civil disputes involving the following business or economic interests:
- Commercial and contracts
- Wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, benefit, non-competition, confidentiality, and non-solicitation
- Real property, condemnation, boundary, timber trespass, and transactions
- Business entity, including corporation and partnership, buy/sell and control, and officer and director negligence
- Securities, and investment management and advice
- Development and construction
- Trade secret and unfair trade practice
- Complex collection and lender liability
- Product warranty
- Franchise
- Trust, probate, guardianship, and conservatorship
We are staffed to handle claims of all sizes efficiently and effectively; however, we take pride in our ability to handle large, complex, and difficult matters.
We treat litigation matters like business matters and try to achieve our clients’ goals as efficiently as possible and with as much client input, work sharing and control as each client desires. We represent our clients aggressively, acting as leaders and proceeding without distraction, but in accordance with the highest professional and ethical standards. We work hard to make our clients both pleased and proud to have chosen us.
