Pat has practiced commercial law since he was admitted to the bar in 1984. He began by representing an equipment leasing company in collection matters, then continued with a variety of creditors’ rights clients on both commercial and consumer issues in bankruptcy, state and federal courts.

Since joining Hershner Hunter in 1993, he has been a mainstay of the Creditors’ Rights Practice Group. His practice has focused on representation of all types of creditors in bankruptcy cases, representation of bankruptcy trustees, and enforcement of secured interests in both real and personal property. He has considerable experience in responding to emergencies, including seeking repossession orders under provisional process remedies. Pat’s bankruptcy experience has included representing creditors in large, national banruptcy cases in courts across the country, including Enron, Agribiotech, Baltimore Emergency Services, and Florida West Airlines.

Pat is also a member of the Litigation Practice Group, representing a wide variety of clients in business and commercial litigation matters.

Pat is an active member of the Oregon State Bar Debtor-Creditor Section, having written articles for its newsletter and drafted bills for submission to the legislature as a member of the New Legislation Committee.
