Practice Emphasis

Labor and Employment Law

Amanda spent the majority of her first ten years of practice as a trial attorney.  In 2004, Amanda left Hershner Hunter to join the Human Resources Department of one of Oregon’s largest employers, and armed with that practical experience, rejoined the firm in 2007.  She now provides a wide range of employment law services to business owners and managers.  She also trains and coaches employers and managers on a variety of human resource topics, and participates in the negotiation, interpretation and enforcement of labor union contracts.

Amanda is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Lane County Human Resource Association.  She is active in both the local and state bars, having served on the Board of the Lane County Bar Association and as a director of the Oregon State Bar Professional Liability Fund.  She volunteers as a reader for the SMART program and as a judge for various competitions at the University of Oregon School of Law.  She also volunteers for Food for Lane County.

Amanda and her husband, Ted, enjoy spending time working on home improvement projects, gardening, running, and playing with their dog.
